Dr. Muila Kambulandu's journey reflects a deep commitment to healthcare and a dedication to serving communities in both the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Lesotho. Born in Matadi, DRC, she grew up in Lubumbashi, where she pursued her medical education at the University of Lubumbashi (UNILU), earning her degree in Medicine in 2002. Following her education, Dr. Kambulandu embarked on a career in medicine, initially working in Kinshasa, DRC. However, since 2009, she has been residing and practicing in Lesotho, where she plays a vital role at the Lesotho-Boston Health Alliance (LeBoHA).
At LeBoHA, she is involved in piloting the Family Medicine Centre of Excellence in team-based Primary Health Care (FM COE PHC), demonstrating her dedication to advancing primary healthcare services in the country. In 2022, Dr. Kambulandu achieved a significant milestone in her career by obtaining her Masters in Family Medicine from Lesotho-Boston Health Alliance.
Dr. Kambulandu's work at the intersection of family medicine, primary healthcare, and community health initiatives reflects her holistic approach to healthcare delivery. By focusing on team-based care and emphasizing primary healthcare principles, she contributes to improving access to comprehensive and patient-centered services, particularly in underserved areas like Lesotho.
She is a dedicated and committed person who is helping strengthening the primary health care by providing a comprehensive but affordable care to the local communities. She believes she can contribute to bringing quality health care closer to the people living in rural areas and improve health coverage in general. She likes interacting with people of all background and values family and friendship. She is now interested in Research and mentorship.
